Multi-Employer Co-Operative

The Multi-Employer Co-Operative, also known as the Group Refund Insurance Plan (GRIP) is an innovative benefit solution that is created to allow qualifying small and mid-sized companies to join together to form one large group. By combining several companies, economies of scale are maximized resulting in lower expenses and reduced risk.

The co-operative is committed to financial transparency and accountability. Each year, an audit is conducted by the co-operative for each member company. If premiums that were paid were higher than required to cover claims plus expenses, they are entitled to receive a refund of the surplus. If claims were higher than expected and a deficit occurs, there is no requirement by the member company to pay the deficit as the co-operative provides deficit forgiveness.
